Stamped textures have to be stamped onto the metal when it is flat. This poses a problem when bending or welding because it damages the pattern. With etching, all the bending and welding is done before it is etched, creating a seamless final product.
Stamping and hammering have limitations in the amount of designs and patterns possible. Etching can produce the most basic pattern to the most complex photographic quality design.
The samples shown on this web site only scratch the surface of what is possible. A custom design, pattern or texture can be created to fit any application.
